I can remember sitting in the living room and listening to the music of John Denver, Jim Croce, Dan Fogelberg, James Taylor and other greats of the acoustic guitar from the 70's. For some reason, the sound of the acoustic guitar resonated with me! It was like every note that came from those instruments was talking to me, telling the hidden stories that went even deeper than they lyrics of the songs. When I got a little older, my friends started rebelling against the music that their parents listened to, but I never did. Maybe it was because in some deep part of me, I knew that those stories, would eventually be my story. And I would be forever captive to tell that story with a guitar on my lap. Now, I work to bring those great stories back to life, and while I don't get anywhere near the artistry of my icons, I sing and play with as much authenticity as I can muster. Every word means something, and every note still sings to me.
